Into Heaven's Arms

Today, the 19th day of May, Seth Charles Bollschweiler finished his fight on the earth and returned to his Father in Heaven. He was at home, where he was promised he would be, with his, mom, dad and siblings, the people in the world he loved the most. He was at peace, and spent a few minutes with open eyes, being reassured by his mom and I am certain he was reassuring her with volumes of peace through his beautiful blue eyes.

There will never in my lifetime be enough words to express the love and gratitude I have felt from the outpouring of love for this little family. I also feel impressed to share my absolute assurance of the eternities and that I know we can all be with our little Sethman again. There is peace in my soul and I pray there is peace in yours.

We anticipate we will be having the funeral on Monday, with a viewing Sunday evening. We will post details as soon as we have them.

Sitting with an Angel

Just a quick post tonight....

We just returned from sitting with Seth for a while. It was a very sweet experience to be in his presence. He is weak in body, but his spirit is growing stronger by the second. Family members were able to gather tonight to spend a few moments with him and it was precious.

We ask for your prayers (as always) that there be an intense out pouring of peace and comfort come over his family at this time. Darin, Shannon, Corbin, Jenna and Seth, I love you all and may you have peace this night.

The Jazz Bear

WOW!!! What a great memory we will have after this event! The Utah Jazz mascot...aka "Bear" made a very special visit to Seth today. It started by greeting Corbin and Jenna when they got off the bus....well sorta, Jenna didn't get on the bus...but we'll get to that. When the school bus pulled up the Bear van sped towards it lights and sirens going and out jumped the Bear...from the TOP! Kids started getting off the bus and the Bear hugged the all! The coolest part for me was Corbin getting off and arms in the air yelling..."this is freakin' awesome!" Then we watched for Jenna to get off....soon realizing she was never on the bus! So, Bears driver put Corbin, Darin, and Bear in the van and sped off to the school to get Jenna. Lights and Sirens blaring and picked her up! It was fun. When they finally arrived home, Bear quietly came in the house and immediately went to Seth's side. Seth has had a bit of a rough day today, but I felt like the Bear calmed him some. He brought Seth a Boozer Jersey...in his size that was personally autographed especially for Seth. He also brought bags for the kids with shirts, balls, mini Jazz bears, and a wrist band and hat. It was adorable. Bear sat with Seth for a LONG time. He held his hand and just calmed the room. It was special....I wish you could have all been there!

As for the rest of the day....just resting, hand holding and a little one on one time with those around him. I can't begin to express my love and appreciation for all the kindness you are all showing Seth at this time. He is a fighter, strong and brave. I believe it has been one of life's greatest privileges to be his Aunt! Hang tough little buddy! I love you to infinity and beyond!

A big bunch of THANKS!

What can I say...SO many wonderful people doing so many wonderful things! This post is so sweet! I was trying to make a list of all the small and simple acts of kindness that have been shown in the past couple of days....but the list is endless! What amazing people there are! Seth has been working with the Make-a-Wish foundation for a couple of months. Although he was not able to realize his first wish, they have continued to work with him and have worked to find something to be fun for him. The day Seth left the hospital he was showered with Buzz Lightyear gear from ear to ear! Disney's Pixar was willing to arrange a private screening of Toy Story 3 for him, but some logistical dilemmas with location and getting Seth around pushed that aside. However, the foundation came out to Seth's house last night and installed a new big screen TV in front of Seth's bed. He does like to watch movies and what better way than on a new BIG TV. Thank you Make-a-Wish.....that was great!

Also, Seth has a home health nurse that has helped with his care in the past and she has arranged for Seth to see How to Train a Dragon in a theatre by his house in a nice hospital bed. It will be so much fun for him to go to the movies with his family!

There are meals coming into the family for dinner and many many acts of kindness to help during this time for the family we can't begin to thank everyone individually, nonetheless, we are thankful.

So many of you have asked what can you do to help. We have always been very supported by your prayers and faith and ask you continue to pray for Seth and our family during this time. In addition, if you would like to contribute to Seth's fund, there are still medical expenses as well as future expenses coming that will need to be met. You can make donations by following the link on this blog through PayPal. If you have any questions or would rather contact me directly for more information, please feel free to do so at dtwebarker@msn.com.

A day at the park and Family Pictures

Today Seth and his family went to Murray Park! What a beautiful day it was! He got to ride in his chair for a bit and then he posed for a MILLION pictures with his family! A friend and photographer offered to do some family photos for Seth and what a treasure they will be. Thanks a million Janae (Memories by Janae)! I can promise her pictures will be better than mine...but I didn't want you to have to wait for the professional ones....these are a sneak peek!

Seth also made a stop at Grandma and Grandpa Bollschweilers house where he spent some time letting his cousins see him and of course....more pictures!

He is home now and after a few moments of struggling he is in bed resting with dad! We love you Seth...your so amazing! And by the way, I have NEVER seen eyes like this little guys, they are so darling!

Home Sweet Home

Today Seth came home! He was welcomed by his brother and sister, Grandma and Grandpa Bennion and me :)! He seemed pretty worn out from the event, but I actually believe he looked happy to be home. Once the excited settled a bit, his home health nurse came by and helped get his feeds and IV's hooked up and going. He also had a visit from "dave" the oxygen guy to get his oxygen set up and going. I spent a couple of minutes talking to him and it was pure bliss! He actually smiled and I can't say there was anything better about my day! What a privilege!

Enjoy the pictures.....More updates to come as him at home adventure begins! Thanks to all for your support and prayers as we are hoping to make this time with him pack-full of many, many wonderful memories!

A Fighter's Fight.....

This is one of those times that I am CERTAIN, no matter what I write, it won't come our right, it won't feel right and it won't be right. So please read with patience as I try and get through this.

Last night Shannon and Darin were given the preliminary results to a lumbar puncture and Bone Marrow Aspirate. The news was not good and not what we have been hoping to hear. There is infection in the spine (spinal meningitis) and a lesion of some sort (most likely infection) on the base of the brain. Also, there are leukemic blasts forming. Seth has had some noticable changes in his 'attitude' and looking back we can see why now. He hasn't really interacted much with anyone and seems to have moments of complete confusion and frustration that are hard to work through. This is all reflective of what the test results show. Darin and Shannon are going to take Seth home. Most likely this will happen on Monday, perhaps Tuesday. He will continue to be given medication to try and fight the infection and will have medication available to manage the pain. He will be able to spend time at home with brother and sister, mom and dad and family. We do not know how long this precious little boy will be in our presence, however, we are determined to love every minute we have with him and make them all count. I know there are a lot of questions, and some have answers, some don't. But bottom line is Seth has fought a fighter's fight and he is going to go home to enjoy his family.

I can't begin to describe my heartache. As most of you know I am Seth's aunt. I can attest to MANY MANY acts of kindness in this families behalf and they have not gone unnoticed. As some of my siblings and I gathered around our brother last night to lend support, I was overcome with a feeling of gratitude for family and all that it means. I was also able to spend some one-on-one time with Seth and I want you all to know what an absolute angel he is. Truly in every sense of the word that little man is an angel. His eyes are bright and clear and he is mindful of the love that surrounds him. He allowed me the privilege of holding his little hand for awhile and I was able to talk to him and tell him how much he is loved. It is a moment I will treasure forever.

I will continue to update this blog...perhaps on a more regular basis now to keep you updated on the fun times Seth will be enjoying with his family. I only ask that you send your comments if you feel prompted and if any of you have picture of Seth with our without his family I would sure love a copy...you can email me at dtwebarker@msn.com.

You are an amazing group of friends and family. Your prayers are heard and felt and we are grateful for the kindness you've shared and continue to share with our family at this time. God Bless you for it!
